Dispossession
of habitation by operation of law; or the act of depriving a person of
possession of land or rental property which is or asserted as held or occupied by
lease or other instrument. An act of turning a tenant out of possession,
either by re-entry or other legal proceedings, such as an action of
ejectment. An act to deprive a lessee of possession of the
premises, or, an interruption of beneficial enjoyment so as to cause a lessee
to abandon the premises.
